Get a DXF ready for laser, plasma or CNC cutting from an Illustrator file — without fighting Illustrator's own export. The tool accepts AI, ZIP files and works straight from your browser: nothing to install, no account to create.
Under the hood, the work is done by PyMuPDF, which reads the PDF core that every Illustrator file since version 9 carries inside it — and Ghostscript for the older, PostScript-based ones — then the same path-to-DXF stage as our PDF to DXF tool, with lines and arcs kept as true entities. Vectorizing turns pixels into geometry: the result stays sharp at any scale and can be used in CAD, laser cutting or on a CNC machine.
Your files are processed on our European servers and then wiped automatically: they are never read, never kept, and never reused to train anything.

Frequently asked questions
Is the DXF ready for the machine?
Curves become polylines and arcs, closed contours stay closed, and the drawing is placed at the origin in millimetres. Open one in your CAM software (or in Carbnest for nesting) and check the scale once: a 100 mm square must measure 100 mm.
Which Illustrator versions are supported?
Every .ai saved with the "Create PDF Compatible File" option, which has been on by default since Illustrator 9 (2000). Older, PostScript-only files are read by Ghostscript. Files saved without PDF compatibility cannot be read by anything but Illustrator itself.
Do you keep my files?
No. They are deleted automatically from our servers shortly after processing, along with the output file and the download link.
Do I need an account?
No, the tool works right away. An account is only needed to lift the daily limits.
Does the result carry a watermark?
Never. We add no mark of any kind to the files we produce, including on the free plan.
