Under the hood, the work is done by libvips and an optimized JPEG encoder, with no needless re-encoding when the file is already compact. Processing avoids any needless loss: quality is only degraded if you explicitly ask for it.
Your files are processed on our European servers and then wiped automatically: they are never read, never kept, and never reused to train anything.
